In my last post I've mentioned I have suffered a great 50% dip in adsense earnings last weekend. CTR, eCPM drops, click value is extremely low. Traffic is low, everything went so wrong and makes me feel so disappointed....

After 5 days, now it looks like the CTR and eCPM has recovered, and earnings even goes up significantly ! This is partly because the number of impressions increased due to my improved rankings in search engines, and click value is now better and better !!

The click value is controlled by the google smart pricing algorithm. As age and relevance of website does play a role in determining the rankings. It is expected that if you keep working on building content on your website. Your ranking will eventually goes up steadily.

The increase in my earnings has kept for 2 days until now. I hope it can keep doing good at that level, and it is more than a big motivation for me to keep working hard.
I'm looking forward to reach my first goal... $600 a month, which means $20 daily. I've never broke this $20 mark. Hopefully I could do it very soon.

This nite I went to post some of my stories to digg.com. It was simply one of the articles from my ezine directory. My ezine does not rank well, and simply got no traffic from SE. so I use a little help from digg.com for promotion.

The article I posted was "26 Things You Currently Do with SQL That You Shouldn't"
Hey the response is good ! Only after half an hour I got 8 diggs. The max diggs I got from my previous stories never exceed 10 ! Now it has got 8 already. I wonder is the quality of my story so good ?

Then I went on and post another article "10 Things You Could be Using Photoshop For, But Probably Aren't". It does not bad and jumped a few diggs immediately.

You may have already realized what conclusion Im trying to make. YES, title is the point ! What is an attractive title ? The above example proves that the kind of "Top 10 reasons", "10 mistakes" that comes with an accurate number is usually successful in attracting readers' attention.

Well, the article content should of course match with your title. The reader already get a picture in mind and by reading the article their list in mind is filled. It is a great way to help readers to under the contents quickly and effectively.

Yesterday my revenue dropped by 50%. It was the worst day among these months...
I checked WebMasterWorld and found that many other webmasters were suffering from this decline too, from small sites to big sites earning hundreds per day. Some are complaining adsense is showing MFA on their website, which means no money at all !

What is even worse, it was reported some google servers were down too. I wondered if it was related... Is google tweaking or doing some fix ?

BTW, I just checked my adsense stat again, and saw one new click since the new day started (a new day starts at 16:00 HKT), and the click value has boosted "A LOT" ! Is google paying penalty for us ? hahaha... Lets hope its the truth and this value continues.

In an article suggested for the topic of SEO for product Review, the author has suggest that google will rank in favour of keyword phase plus "review". That means if your site is doing some product review, or you keyword is targeted with this "review" phase, google will give you a higher ranking.

I will probably try this out as my website is somehow about review too. I shall try to include "review" into my keyword and see what it brings to the SERP changes.

My stock resource page has been up and running for 8 months already. Recently I realize the average earning per click seems to go up a bit. I guess this is the result of adsense "smart pricing". Age of website is one factor, and topic relevance is another factor. I keep improving my site by adding more valuable content to it. So I think google rewards me for having good content. ^.^
