Web traffic from search engine is always the best source of traffic

Having written more blog posts with some links pointing to my own site, I am now building inbound links for my best performing stock site.

I have added a real time quote page which is a collection of market indexes. I find it very useful myself, I hope others will agree with me too.

Today there is 350 unique visitors to my stock site, and 100 search hits brought from hk.search.yahoo. It shows a significant increase that makes me very excited. The cause of this increase is due to my SERP ranking for the term "gold price" has raised to 4th from a mere 11-20.

Im now thinking of ways to outperform it further. Currently the search result is only good under hk.yahoo. It can only rank top 10 when I choose hk as priority. My goal is to make it appear top 10 under google / yahoo (global), and cover a wider range of keywords.

Adsense tips - Make sure you wont click your own ad

You won't get canned just for a single click, but if you're like me and tweak your site a lot it's only a matter of time before you click on one of those things by accident.

Here's an article teaches you to make some changes to your PC config so that the ads won't appear on the page. The idea is by editing the HOSTS if you are using MS windows.

This technique will ban all web traffic from pagead2.googlesyndication.com, which is the server that serves you the adsense ads. Therefore you will not see any ads again. Note that it not only happen in your own website, but it bans all google ads in the entire network.

So, just make sure you will have it enabled again after you have made your modifications to your site.
